It has been 30 years since the beginning of Roger Oates and we are proud that Hertford Flooring are one of their few chosen official suppliers. We have been supplying and fitting their runners and rugs with qualified expert fitters for over 15 years.
Roger and Fay Morgan Oates first began designing and hand producing flatweave rugs and runners more than 30 years ago.
The reinvention of the Venetian Flatweave process led to a series of creative experiments with colour, pattern and texture that now number more than 100 individual designs currently in production. This truly British product has become a design classic furnishing floors and stairs, not only in the UK, but across the world.
By combining practicality and an innate sense of classic design the rugs and runners are timeless examples of both heritage and innovation. The classic collections of signature stripes remain central to their ethos of partisan products created with care on power looms and checked by hand throughout the process. Their distinctive rugs and runners are made from British Cheviot wool blend that is spun and dyed in Yorkshire.

Fantastic service from Hertford Flooring. Neil came and measured our stairs for our new runner promptly and the Roger Oates runner was laid by an expert fitter who only fitted that make of carpet. The whole experience was extremely professional from start to finish. We have used them before to lay an oak floor in our lounge prior to this and cannot fault the service we received. We would definitely recommend them.
